Katarzyna Szotynska – born 1980. Olympian in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Kasia was 9th in Laser Radial fleet. She is a double medallist at the ISAF Youth Worlds. She won bronze medal in 1997 and gold in 1998 in Girls Laser Radial fleet. Kasia has been multi-medallist in Polish Nationals since 1995 in Europe and Laser Radial classes. Since the Laser Radial had been selected for the Olympics in 2004, Kasia has consistently been at the top of Laser Radial sailing in the world, finishing 3rd in 2005 Europeans, 4th in 2006, 2008 Europeans, 4th in 2007 Worlds. She graduated at Warsaw University. Kasia is happy mother and she is not sailing any more, now.
Ewa Makowska – born 1990. Young talented Polish sailor. Ewa’s best achievements to date were a silver medal in 2007 Girls Laser 4.7 World Championship and bronze medal position in 2009 U21 Women’s Laser Radial European Championship. Ewa is multi medallist in Polish Nationals in youth categories. Ewa is looking forward to be the Polish hope for the Olympic dream in 2016. She is sailing the skiff, now.
Joanna Maksymiuk – born 1991. Young talented Polish sailor. Joanna is 2009 U19 girls Polish Champion. She competed in U19 Girls Laser Radial World Championship and ISAF Youth Worlds In 2009. She was 5th and 8th respectively. This year she has moved into the top flight of Laser Radial sailing and is taking part in the World Cup events. Joanna is looking forward to be a Polish hope for the Olympic dream in 2016. She is sailing the skiff, now.
Katarzyna Tylinska – born 1982. Kasia is an ex - 470 sailor. She was 7th in 2005 European Championship. Kasia is experienced in yacht racing as well as the Laser Radial. Last year she was expanding her horizons into match racing. We’ll see her on the Laser Radial once again for 2012 olympic selection.
Marcin Rudawski – born 1981. Marcin is very experienced Laser sailor. He had been sailing for many years and won many medals in Polish Nationals. Because of an injury he switched to Laser Radial from the standard rig and now he is really having fun in that class. Marcin is triple Laser Radial Men’s World Champion (2009 - 2011). The major polish sailing magazine Yachting awarded him 2009 Sailor of the year. Marcin graduated at Warsaw University.
Filip Kobielski – born 1992, Filip is very positive motivated young sailor. He aspires to reach the top very quickly. He won a bronze medal in 2009 Laser Radial U19 Boys World Championship, as well as medals in youth categories Laser 4.7, Laser Radial and Laser in Polish Nationals. Filip switched to Laser standard rig last year and he prepares to Youth Worlds and Europeans this year. He studies in Great Britain.
Marek Izdebski - born 1989. Marek sails the Laser and he is a member of Polish Youth National Squad. His best achievements were two silver medals in Polish Laser Radial Men’s Nationals In 2006 and 2007 year. He won bronze medal in Laser Polish Nationals in 2008. He is Multi-medallist in youth Polish Nationals In Laser Radial and Laser. Marek studies at Warsaw University.
Bartłomiej Szotynski – Coach – Bartek is a sailing head coach of Warsaw University Sailing Club. He was the Laser Radial Polish National Team head coach in 2005-2009 years, Olympic Laser Radial coach at 2008 Beijing Olympics. His sailors have already won 107 medals in National, European and World events. On 7 separate occasions Bartek was awarded the 1st degree prize by the Polish Sport Ministry in reward for his work and results of polish sailors. The big polish sailing magazine Yachting awarded the 2009 Coach of the Year prize to Bartek. He was working for the Flemish Sailing Federation in 2010. Today, Bartek coaches many sailors.
